Arthur J. Carter, 69, of Newark, NJ passed away on June 30, 2012.

He was born to the late Arthur and Annie (Max) Carter in New Haven, CT.

Arthur graduated from Boston College, Class of 1964, where he played on the college baseball and ice hockey teams.

He had an impressive career in the agriculture import/export business, working as an executive for Dole, Del Monte, Pacific Fruit and Oro Banana in their Latin American operations.

Arthur is survived by his two daughters; Donya Carter of Orlando, FL and Bethanne Carter of San Jose, Costa Rica; a son, Michael Carter & wife, Michelle of Newtown, PA; his seven grandchildren, Allison Basten, Jennifer Dubin & husband, Eric, Michelle Basten, Andrea Dilley, Michael Carter, Joshua Carter and Julia Carter; his three sisters, Jacqueline Lassen, Corrine Larsen and Marilynn Terlaga.
