Kathryn E. Rush

Kathryn E. (Rice) Rush - 83, of Souderton, PA; formerly of Bristol, PA went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, June 6, 2012 at Souderton Mennonite Homes.

She was the loving wife of the late Rev. Howard W. Rush for 36 years. Kathryn was born in Pipersville, PA to the late Mahlon Rice and the late Maggie (Erb) Rice.

She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Kathryn and husband Howard were founding members of Bristol Mennonite Church. They lived in and served the community of Bristol for thirty years. She enjoyed gardening, quilting, puzzles and spending time with her family.

Kathryn was a life member of Deep Run Mennonite Church East.

She is survived by her two daughters, Sharon R. Owens of Perkasie, PA and Eunice Rush-Day & husband, Jeffrey of Perkasie, PA; her three sons, Michael Rush & wife, Mary Beth of Glenside, PA, Stephen Rush & wife, Loretta of Doylestown, PA, Philip Rush & wife, Karen Miller Rush of Goshen, IN; Sister – Margaret Hinkle & husband, Richard of Sellersville, PA; her three brothers, Albert Rice & wife, Miriam of Pipersville, PA, Harold Rice & wife, Suzanne of Perkasie, PA, Robert Rice & wife, Gladys of Sellersville, PA; her sister-in-law, Mildred Rice of Quakertown, PA and 10 Grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Norman Rice and Walter Rice and his wife, Ruth.

Viewings will be held on Friday, June 8, 2012 at Souderton Mennonite Homes, 207 West Summit Street, Souderton, PA from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM and on Saturday, June 9 at Deep Run Mennonite Church East, 350 Keller's Church Road, Perkasie, PA from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM.

Funeral services will be held at Deep Run Mennonite Church East on Saturday at 11:00 AM.

Burial will take place at Deep Run Mennonite Church East Cemetery.
