Agnes Theresa (Gioquindo) Mazzei , 89, of Ottsville, Pennsylvania, formerly of Warwick Township and Southampton, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully at her residence on Saturday, June 13, 2026.
Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Agnes was the daughter of the late Michael Gioquindo and the late Marian (Coraluzzo) Gioquindo. She was a proud graduate of Little Flower High School in Germantown, Pennsylvania, Class of 1955.
Agnes shared 70 loving years of marriage with her devoted husband, Robert Mazzei. Together they built a life centered on family, love, and lasting memories.
A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, Agnes found her greatest joy in her family. She loved shopping for her children and especially her grandchildren, whom she cherished beyond measure. She enjoyed good food, fine jewelry, and traveling throughout the United States and abroad with her loved ones. Cruising was her favorite way to travel. An avid reader of mystery novels, Agnes was also an exceptional cook and baker whose meals brought family and friends together. According to her grandchildren, Mum Mum made the best meatballs, gravy and cheesecake. She had a special love for animals, particularly cats and dogs, and treasured her lifelong friendship with Marie Dickson.
Agnes will be remembered for her strength, honesty, and unwavering spirit. She possessed a fiery personality, spoke her mind, and never hesitated to tell it like it was. Her steadfast nature, outspoken character, and strong convictions made her a truly unforgettable presence in the lives of those who knew and loved her.
In addition to her husband, Robert, Agnes is survived by her five children: Robin Anne James and her husband, Cecil, of Chalfont, Pennsylvania; Robert John Mazzei and his wife, Lee Anne, of Ottsville, Pennsylvania; Jeffrey "Jeff" Mazzei and his wife, Teresa, of Carlisle, Pennsylvania; Dr. Jill Mazzei Lieberman and her husband, Dr. Glenn Lieberman, of Sanbornton, New Hampshire; and Michele M. Dowling and her husband, Timothy "Tim," of Perkasie, Pennsylvania.
She is also survived by her seven beloved grandchildren: Gregory Scott James of Chalfont, Pennsylvania; Jenna Lynn Mazzei of Ottsville, Pennsylvania; David M. Rappo and his wife, Deanne, of Troy, New York; Shane Michael Lieberman and his companion, Eliza Talmadge, of New York, New York; Cole Robert Lieberman and his fiancée, Emily Hansen, of New York, New York; Jessica Robin Dowling and her fiancé, John Torri, of Doylestown, Pennsylvania; and Kristen Elizabeth Dowling of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Agnes is further survived by her sisters, Maryann McFarland and her husband, Robert "Bob," of Warminster, Pennsylvania, and Rochelle "Shelly" Melley and her husband, Peter, of North Wales, Pennsylvania, as well as many cherished nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Agnes was preceded in death by her siblings: Francis "Sonny" Gioquindo, Rita Marcantonio, Michael Gioquindo, Enrico "Harry" Gioquindo, Paul Gioquindo, Joseph "Joe" Gioquindo, and Anthony Gioquindo.
At the request of the family, no services will be held at this time.
A future inurnment will take place at St. John Neumann Cemetery in Chalfont, Pennsylvania.
