Alice (Swenson) Kidd , 85, of Pennsburg, PA; formerly of Plumstead Twp., PA went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 31 st , 2020 at Lehigh Valley Hospital – Cedar Crest in Allentown, PA.
She was the loving wife of the late Maynard Kidd for 36 years. Alice was born in Somerton, PA to the late Swen Swenson and the late Gladys (Erwin) Swenson.
She was a graduate of Southampton High School, Southampton, PA, class of 1942.
Alice was employed as an assistant librarian for Bucks County Pierce Branch for 17 years. From 1967-1977, she worked as a waitress at the Cock 'n Bull Restaurant in Lahaska, PA.
Alice was a member of New Goshenhoppen United Church of Christ.
She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Alice enjoyed sewing, crafts, genealogy, and flowers.
She is survived by her two sons, Gary Kidd and wife, Antonia of Palm, PA, Mark Kidd and wife, Gina of Green Lane, PA; her two daughters, Pamela Bryan and husband, Jeffrey of Perkasie, PA, Sandra Faitell and husband, Robert, of Scottsdale, AZ; her 15 grandchildren – Neil, Gary, Jr., Teresa, Yolanda, Laura, Jeremy, Seth, Nicole, Isaac, Justin, Olivia, William, Grace, Letzli, and Alex; and her 24 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, Alice was preceded in death by her son, Bruce Kidd; her three brothers, Roland, Eugene, Earl, and infant brother Robert Swenson; and her two sisters, Ruth Anderson and Dorthea Shaw.
A private burial will take place at New Goshenhoppen U.C.C. Cemetery, Third & Church Streets, East Greenville, Pennsylvania 18041.
