Anna Mary (Roberts) Reese , 95, of Sellersville, PA; formerly of Harleysville, PA & Fairhill, PA entered into rest on Tuesday, November 21, 2023 at The Community at Rockhill.
She was the loving wife of the late John "Jack" Newton Reese for 50 years. Anna Mary was born in Quakertown, PA to the late William S. Roberts and the late Anna May (Baxter) Roberts.
She worked as a line operator for the former Peerless Shoe Factory in Telford, PA, as a laborer for the former His-Nibs in Souderton, PA, as an inspector for the former Kolesman Motor's in Dublin, PA, and lastly as an assembler for the former Fendt Findings in Hatfield, PA.
Anna Mary was a member of St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Hilltown, PA and a current member of Advent Lutheran Church in Harleysville, PA. She was a lifetime member of Branch Valley Fish, Game, & Forestry Association in Perkasie, PA and Great Swamp Fish & Game in Quakertown, PA.
She loved BINGO, reading Amish books, fishing, crocheting, crafting, and watching the wildlife. Anna Mary enjoyed wintering in Florida, going to Brigantine, NJ to go fishing, and woodworking with her late husband, Jack. She also enjoyed looking for four-leaf clovers and had collected hundreds of them from various locations. Anna Mary was a Philadelphia Phillies fan. She collected Jim Shore folk art, lighthouses, and angels. Anna Mary enjoyed fishing at Lake Gananoque in Canada and taking day trips to Lancaster.
She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, and mother-in-law. Anna Mary was a caring and compassionate woman who had a good sense of humor.
She is survived by her three daughters, Patricia Ann Tyler & husband, Richard of Green Lane, PA, Sheran Christine Barone & husband, Thomas of Lansdale, PA, Karen Lynn (Ott) Baltzersen & husband, Niels of Quakertown, PA; her nine grandchildren – Jody, Michael, Josh, Lisa, Michelle, Jeremiah, Melissa, Niels, & Nevin; her 17 great-grandchildren; her six great-great-grandchildren; her two sisters-in-law, Nancy Roberts of Barto, PA & Marion Roberts of Perkiomenville, PA; and her numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Anna Mary was preceded in death by her son, Thomas Scott Reese; her son-in-law, LeRoy Ott; her great-granddaughter, Halie Marie Smalls; her brother, Archibald Roberts; her sister-in-law, Jean Roberts; her sister-in-law, Anna Laura Taylor; her brother, Samuel Roberts; her sister-in-law, Marie Roberts; her sister, Laura Van Tassel; her brother-in-law, Arthur Van Tassel; and her brothers, William & Jerry Roberts.
A viewing will be held on Saturday, December 2, 2023 at Anders-Detweiler Funeral Home & Crematory, 130 E. Broad St., Souderton, PA 18964 from 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm, followed by a funeral service at 3:00 pm.
A private inurnment will take place at St. Peter's Union Cemetery in Hilltown, PA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice.
