Obituary

Anthony "Tony" Gerard Troy , 49, of Souderton, Pennsylvania, formerly of Hancock and Hamilton, New York, entered into rest unexpectedly after a tragic work accident on Monday, May 18, 2026.

Tony was born in Staten Island, New York, to Marcie (Schneider) Limberoplos of Souderton, PA, and the late Gerard Joseph Troy. He shared 22 loving years with his companion, Amber Lee Oralls.

A 1995 graduate of Hamilton Central School in Hamilton, NY, Tony was known for his strong work ethic and dedication throughout his career. Over the years, he worked in a variety of roles, including maintenance at McDonald's in Hancock, NY; CNC machine operator for K Tooling LLC; construction laborer for Ashling Construction Inc. in Binghamton, NY; secondary plant operator for Cobleskill Stone Products in Hancock, NY; consumer directed aide for Horizons Home Care Services in Airmont, NY; laborer for Blooming Glen Contractors in Perkasie, PA; and most recently as a Traffic Control Flagger for Allan Myers in Worcester, PA.

Tony was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Hamilton, NY, where he received his Confirmation and served as an altar boy.

He had a deep love for sports and was a devoted fan of New York teams, especially the Jets, Knicks, and Yankees. Tony enjoyed playing basketball, video games, working out, listening to alternative rock music, trying new restaurants — especially those known for great pizza and cheesesteaks. He was also an avid horror movie enthusiast.  Above all, he treasured spending time with his immediate family.

Tony will be remembered for his big heart, honesty, compassion, and sense of humor. He was easy going, genuine, and always spoke his mind. He gave his all to the people he loved and was deeply devoted to his family and close friends.

In addition to his companion, Amber, he is survived by his son, Joseph "Joey" Gerard Troy of Souderton, PA; his daughter, Payten Marie Troy of Souderton, PA; his half-brother, James "Jimmy" Limberoplos of Charlotte, NC; his half-sister, Jillian "Jill" Lowhoy of Charlotte, NC; his aunts, Pamela "Pam" A. Bryant and her husband, Robert "Bob" of Hazlet, NJ, and Jean "Jeanie" B. Piccolo and her husband, Frank of Staten Island, NY; as well as several cousins.

In addition to his father, Tony was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Gerard Richard Troy and Marie Teresa Troy, who lovingly raised him.
