Arlan A. Moyer , 83, of Quakertown, PA; formerly of Richlandtown, PA went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 20, 2022 at LifeQuest Nursing Center.

He was the loving husband of Mary Ann (Kratz) Moyer for 59 years. Arlan was born in Sellersville, PA to the late Willis D. Moyer and the late Blanche (Anders) Moyer.

He attended Souderton Area High School.

Arlan started by working on his family farm in Telford, PA. He then served in 1-W service at a hospital in New Hampshire. Arlan worked as a clerk for the former Cassel's Market in Quakertown, as a meat packer for the former Longacres Poultry in Franconia, as a maintenance man for the former Deep Run Packing in Dublin, and as stock clerk for Redner's Markets in Quakertown until retiring in 2006. After retiring, he did volunteer work at a local nursing home.

Arlan was a former member of Swamp Mennonite Church in Quakertown, PA where he served as a Sunday school superintendent. He was also a former member of Grace Alliance Church in Springtown, PA where he served as an elder. Arlan was a member of Silverdale Brethren in Christ Church. He also attended Rockhill Mennonite Church in Telford, PA.

Arlan was an avid gardener, loved to read the newspaper and his Bible, and loved anything related to the weather. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Arlan enjoyed eating, playing board games, and making homemade ice-cream.

He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. Arlan was a hardworking, gentle, kind, social, agreeable man who had a strong work ethic and a strong Christian faith.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his three children: Frank K. Moyer, Sr. & wife, Andrea of Sellersville, PA, Karen S. Baumann & husband, Alan of Holly Springs, NC, Brian S. Moyer & wife, Pinar of Burke, VA; his 12 grandchildren – Dani, Felicia, Frank, Jr., Caitlyn & husband, Adam, Adam, Jaymie & fiancé, Noah, Samuel, Matthew, Brooke, Alan, Lily, & Briana; his brother, Richard A. Moyer & wife, Fern of Green Lane, PA; and his sister, Marie Keener of Elizabethtown, PA.

In addition to his parents, Arlan was preceded in death by his brothers-in-law, Joseph Clemmer & Harold Keener.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, April 30, 2022 at Anders-Detweiler Funeral Home & Crematory, 130 E. Broad St., Souderton, Pennsylvania 18964 from 10:00 am - 11:00 am, followed by a memorial service at 11:00 am.
