Obituary

Arlene Beatrice Carbaugh , 93, went home to be with the Lord on November 27, 2021 at The Community at Rockhill after a lengthy illness.

She was born on April 6, 1928 in Center Valley, PA to late parents Clayton and Mary (Price) Bleam.

Arlene and her husband of 65 years, Clarence E. Carbaugh, became members of Pine Grove Mennonite Church after they retired to Ephrata, PA. Previously they lived in Souderton, PA and were members of East Swamp Mennonite for several decades.

Arlene's greatest joys in life were her faith, family, and friends. She will long be remembered for her fabulous baking and cooking. She retired from Souderton Area School district where she managed the Indian Valley Jr. High School cafeteria. She was also head of the kitchen committee at East Swamp Mennonite church for many years, and blessed her family and friends with her gracious hospitality and delicious home cooked meals. She truly exemplified a woman of noble character with her loving, kind, and patient outlook on life, and "her children will rise up and call her blessed."

She is survived by 2 sons, Keith C., husband of Penny Carbaugh of Telford; Kevin A., husband of Stephanie Carbaugh of Lancaster; a daughter, Karen D., wife of Michael Scriniere of Souderton; seven grandchildren, Nathan (Annie) Carbaugh, Joel (Jennifer) Carbaugh, Matthew (Michelle) Carbaugh, Sophia Gross, Daniel (Jami) Gross, Linsey (Jon) Limm, Mia Carbaugh, fourteen great-grandchildren and a sister, Mary Ellen (Bleam) Hostetter.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, one sister, and three great grandchildren.

A Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 18 at East Swamp Church, 2405 East Swamp Road, Quakertown, PA. Visitation will begin at 9:30 AM and the Memorial Service will begin at 10:00 AM.

Memorial contributions in Arlene's memory may be made to Samaritan's Purse/Donor Ministries, PO Box 3000, Boone, NC 28607.
