Ashley Lynn (Erb) Brunstetter-McCloughy 36, of Lansdale, Pennsylvania, formerly of Norristown and Doylestown, passed away at her home on Wednesday, July 29, 2026.
Ashley was the wife of the late James McCloughy. Born in Sellersville, Pennsylvania, she was the cherished daughter of Kristina Lynn (Sheeder) Campbell of Lansdale and David George Erb of Chalfont.
Ashley graduated from Pennridge High School with the Class of 2009 and currently attending Southern New Hampshire University.(SNHU)
A devoted wife, mother, daughter, and friend, Ashley dedicated both her professional and personal life to serving others. She began her career as an Event Coordinator at Warrington Country Club before becoming an Intake Coordinator with Resources for Human Development in Norristown, where she compassionately assisted individuals in need.
Ashley was also the co-founder and vice president of Mommy Haven of Philadelphia, an organization close to her heart. She volunteered on weekends with in the Kensington area, where she worked tirelessly to support individuals struggling with addiction. Her passion for helping others was evident in every aspect of her life.
Ashley embraced life with enthusiasm and joy. She loved spending time with her family and friends, shopping, listening to music—especially EDM—and watching her favorite television shows and true crime documentaries on Netflix. She enjoyed having her hair, nails, and makeup done and always took pride in her appearance. A former middle school and high school cheerleader, Ashley carried that same spirited energy throughout her life. Ashley had an especially close bond with her mother, who always was right by her side.
She enjoyed watching Philly’s sporting teams, especially the EAGLES.
Those who knew Ashley will remember her for her kind heart, generosity, honesty, wonderful sense of humor, positive outlook on life, and remarkable organizational skills. She had a gift for making others feel welcome and valued, and her warmth and compassion left a lasting impression on everyone she met.
In addition to her parents, Ashley is survived by her beloved daughter, Avery Elizabeth Brunstetter of Phoenixville; her paternal grandparents, George and Nancy Erb of Doylestown; her maternal grandmother, Kathleen Sheeder of Warminster; her sisters, Alyssa Freed and her husband, Tyler, of Coopersburg, and Kassidy Campbell of Avalon, New Jersey; and her brothers, David Erb of Chalfont, Ryan Campbell of Telford, and Trent Campbell of Telford. She is also survived by many extended family members, dear friends, and all whose lives she touched.
In addition to her husband, Ashley was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Earl Sheeder, Jr.
Family and friends are invited to a visitation on Thursday, August 6, 2026, from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Anders-Detweiler Funeral Home & Crematory, 130 East Broad Street, Souderton, Pennsylvania 18964. A Celebration of Life service will follow at 11:00 a.m.
