Aubrey P. Gilmore, 89, of Sellersville, PA; formerly of Chalfont, PA passed away on Monday, March 24, 2025 at The Community at Rockhill.
Aubrey was the loving husband of the late Anna Elizabeth (Keller) Gilmore for 54 years. He was born in Tinicum Township, PA to the late Raymond Gilmore and the late Laura (Paitzel) Gilmore.
Aubrey worked as a farm equipment painter for I.G. Rosenbergers (formerly known as Detlan Equipment; now known as Little's) in Silverdale, PA. He then served in I-W service on a farm in Morristown, NJ. He worked as a local painter for Steve Constil in the Bucks/Montgomery area until starting his own business, Aubrey P. Gilmore Painting, in New Britain Twp, PA for more than 40 years.
Aubrey was a former member of Groveland Mennonite Church in Plumsteadville, PA and a current member of Deep Run Mennonite Church East in Perkasie, PA.
He loved animals especially horses, listening to Country music, and watching old Western movies.
Aubrey was a hardworking, focused, determined man.
He is survived by his daughter, Audrey C. Cronkright & husband, G. Richard of Souderton, PA; Son, Alan K. Gilmore & wife, Tara of Quakertown, PA; his two granddaughters, Cheryl P. Adams of Costa Rica and Natalie A. Gilmore of Quakertown, PA; his grandson, Travis A. Gilmore of Quakertown, PA; his great-grandson, Skyler Adams of Costa Rica; and his sister-in-law, Loretta Gilmore.
In addition to his parents and wife, Aubrey was preceded in death by his four siblings, Neil Gilmore, Ronald Gilmore, Laura Peterson, and Alfred Gilmore.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 12, 2025 at 3:00 pm at The Community at Rockhill, 3250 State Road, Sellersville, PA 18960.
Inurnment will take place at Deep Run Mennonite Cemetery East.
