Bertha Moyer , 101, of Souderton, PA went home to be with the Lord on October 11, 2022 surrounded by family, at the Community at Rockhill, Sellersville, PA.

She was born May 30, 1921 in New Britain Township, Bucks County, PA, to the late Willis G. and Alice (Kriebel) Moyer. She worked for Schoeneman's in Souderton for many years. Overcoming numerous obstacles, she graduated from the Philadelphia School of Nursing in 1958 as a practical nurse. She later pursued other courses to enhance her skills in elder care. She worked for The Community at Rockhill from 1960-1971 and 1977-1996 where she was known as a loving and compassionate caregiver to all. She also worked for David and Mabel Derstine in their home, becoming a beloved member of their family. After retiring, she returned to The Community at Rockhill as a volunteer until her health prevented her from continuing this service. Her faith was the foundation for her life, and she was a member of Blooming Glen Mennonite Church.

Bertha was known as an avid quilter and crocheter, making many projects for family and friends. She loved to travel with family and friends. Several trips to Haiti were very special to her and following one of those trips she faithfully sponsored a young Haitian man through school and higher education. She loved to spend time with her family, and they were remembered with cards, letters, and prayers throughout the year.

She is survived by her children, Christine (Glenn) Bauman of Souderton, PA; Philip Godshall of Hatfield, PA; Ellis Blair (Cindy) Godshall of Silverdale, PA; Bette Jane (Jim) Frankenfield of Emerald Isle, North Carolina; Wendy (Tom) Greaser of Souderton, PA and her stepchildren, Barry Moyer of Perkasie, Bruce (Phoebe) Moyer of Sellersville, and Barbara (John) Lehman of Virginia. She was also very loved by her 18 grandchildren and 6 step grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren and 15 step great-grandchildren, and 13 great-great-grandchildren. In addition, she is survived by one sister, Susanna Lewis of Sellersville, 1 brother, Robert (Betty Jane) Moyer of Blooming Glen; and 3 sisters-in-law.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Moyer; a stillborn daughter, Beverly Joan; a son, Herbert Dwight; 3 brothers, Jacob Earl Moyer, Walt Moyer, and Willis Moyer; 2 sisters, Isabell (Moyer) Wireman and Mary (Moyer) Wile; 3 brothers-in-law, Durrell Lewis, Curt Wireman, and John Wile; 2 infant brothers; 2 step daughters-in-law, Nancy (Rodemer) Moyer and Jodelle (Detweiler) Moyer; and a step grandson, Andy Lehman.

A viewing will be held at Blooming Glen Mennonite Church on Sunday, October 16, 2022, where friends may meet with the family from 1:00 pm – 2:30 pm. with a Celebration of Life Service beginning at 2:30 pm.

Bertha enjoyed supporting many missionaries and ministries. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Mennonite Central Committee, 215 12 ^th Street, P.O Box 500, Akron, PA 17501-9989.
