Betty Jean (Hackman) Roberts , 85, of Telford, PA; formerly of Souderton, PA went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 29, 2025 at Lutheran Community at Telford.

Betty was the loving wife of the late Alfred George Roberts for 57 years. She was born in Sellersville, PA to the late Stanley A. Hackman and the late Pearl Y. (Ziegler) Hackman.

Betty graduated from Souderton Area High School, class of 1957. She then attended Berean Bible College in Coopersburg, PA.

Betty worked as a secretary for Merck & Co., Inc. of West Point, PA. She worked as an accounting clerk for the former Keller's Creamery in Harleysville, PA and for Moyer Packing Company (now known as JBS) in Souderton, PA. She was lastly employed as an accounting clerk for Teva Pharmaceutical in Horsham, PA for 15 years.

Betty was a life member of Faith Bible Fellowship Church where she served as a Sunday school teacher for the elementary school students, on the missions committee, sang with the choir, was a mentor to many ladies, belonged to the widows small group, and was part of evangelism explosion.

Betty loved spending time with and providing for her family. She also loved playing games and shopping with her friends. She enjoyed traveling with her husband both domestically and internationally. She also enjoyed serving on short-term missions trips, ice cream, seafood, music, and hymns.

Betty was a vibrant Christian woman who loved Jesus and to serve others. She was a joyful, loyal, selfless woman who always put others first.

She is survived by her step-mother, Shirley Bergey Hackman of Souderton, PA; her five sons, James A. Roberts & wife, Debra of King George, VA, Alan D. Roberts & wife, Lisa of Harleysville, PA, Sean M. Roberts & wife, Wendy of Souderton, PA, Kevin A. Roberts & wife, Lisa of Harleysville, PA, Bryan "BK" Roberts & wife, Melanie of Harleysville, PA; her 14 grandchildren – Devon, Colin, Stephanie, Kirsten, Dylan, Evan, Abigail, Caitlin, Samantha, Danielle, Alyssa, Aerly, Gracie, and Andrew; her 10 great-grandchildren – Audrey, Jeremiah, Claire, Luke, Henry, Blair, Charlotte, Owen, James, and Zoe; and her sister, Shirley Glantz of Summerville, SC.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 24, 2025 at 6:00 pm at Faith Bible Fellowship Church, 140 Harleysville Pike, Harleysville, PA 19438, followed by an informal visitation at 7:00 pm.

Inurnment will take place at Limerick Garden of Memories.
