Betty Jean (Reed) Schaible , 90, of Upper Black Eddy, PA passed away on Tuesday, January 17th, 2023 at her home.

Betty was born in Greenville, Mississippi to the late Elijah Reed and the late Allie Bee Reed. She was the loving wife of the late Paul Percy Schaible. They got married on April 12 ^th , 1962.

Betty was self employed as a house keeper after she got married. Prior to that she was a type setter for a printing company in Mississippi.

She was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Quakertown. As a young woman, she was a full-time evangelizer for her faith.  Betty was baptized February 2nd, 1947.

She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Betty enjoyed gardening with Paul, and cooking in the kitchen that he built for her. She made the best fried chicken and biscuits around.

Her grandson, Brandon said that "Gram was always someone that I could pour my heart out to." Mark her son, said that" I enjoyed joking around with mom." They teased each other all of the time and were constantly laughing. Her daughter Kim appreciated her mom for instilling in her a hard core work ethic. Betty was very grateful for her daughter's compassion and care giving in her final years.

Betty is survived by her daughter, Kim Schaible, her son, Mark Alan Schaible and her grandson, Brandon Schaible all of Upper Black Eddy, PA.

In addition to her husband, Paul, she was preceded in death by her brother, Durwood Reed.

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
