Beverly "Bev" T. (Weintraub) Childs , 72, of Telford, Pennsylvania, formerly of Harleysville and Philadelphia, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 7, 2025, at her residence.
She was the beloved wife of James "Jim" E. Childs, with whom she shared 20 years of marriage. They were married on November 19, 2005. Born in Philadelphia, Bev was the third of five children of the late Bernard Weintraub and the late Elizabeth (Finberg) Berkowitz.
Bev attended Northeast High School in Philadelphia and later earned her GED.
A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, Bev was also a faithful member of Calvary Chapel Quakertown. She lived with Multiple Sclerosis for 45 years, yet continued to embrace life with remarkable strength, creativity, and compassion. Writing was one of her greatest joys. She wrote poetry throughout her life, founded a greeting card company called "A New Beginning" in her earlier years, and published her book, "From My Heart", in 2010.
Bev loved attending church, visiting with others, dining out, and sharing her gift for writing. She will be remembered as a loving, faithful, compassionate, and caring woman who touched many lives.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Monica L. Ferraro and her husband, Anthony, of Douglassville, PA; her granddaughter, Hayley J. Groff of Levittown, PA; her grandson, Zachary Schwartz of Denville, NJ; as well as many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her three brothers and one sister.
