Obituary

Beverly Jane (Reinford) Landis , 62, of Perkasie, PA went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 19, 2024 at her residence surrounded by her family, after a short battle with cancer.

She was the loving wife of Jay R. Landis for 36 years. Bev was born in Sellersville, PA, the daughter of Floyd and Mary Jane (Hunsberger) Reinford of Souderton, PA.

She graduated from Christopher Dock Mennonite High School, class of 1980. Bev and her husband Jay owned and operated Landis Fence Company of Dublin, PA. Prior to becoming a mother, she worked as a secretary for Bergey's car dealership. More recently, Bev enjoyed food service work at Dock Mennonite Academy.

Bev was a life-long member of Franconia Mennonite Church, where she served many years as a teacher in the Children's Ministry. She also shared her love for cooking by volunteering in the kitchen for church events including Chosen 300.

Bev was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and daughter. She loved Jesus with all her heart and was a devoted prayer warrior. She sought after the Lord daily through her devotion time and was always encouraging others, especially her children, in their faith walk journey.

She shared hospitality by opening her home, cooking food, and sharing her pool with family. Bev loved to spend time at Ocean City, NJ, and enjoyed trips to Lancaster County. Some of her hobbies included thrift shopping, attending Christian concerts, cleaning, listening to music, especially southern gospel, and most of all, spending time with her children and grandchildren. In her young adult years, she also enjoyed sports such as volleyball, softball, and racquetball.

In addition to her husband Jay, she is survived by her four children: her son, Jared W. Landis & wife, Marlene of Perkasie, PA, her daughter, Joanna R. Faucette, & husband, Paul of Lansdale, PA, her daughter, Jenna L. Wenger & husband, John of Denver, PA, and her son, Jason S. Landis & wife, Kaila of Blooming Glen, PA; and her four grandchildren – Selah, Elijah, Reuben, and Levi. She is also survived by her five siblings: her sister, Brenda Roth & husband, Andrew of Sellersville, PA, her sister, Bonnie Hockman & husband, Dale of Silverdale, PA, her brother, Randy Reinford & wife, Joy of Sellersville, PA, her brother, Rick Reinford & wife, Shana of Quakertown, PA, and her brother, Ryan Reinford & wife, Jaime of Red Hill, PA.
