Carole "Cag"Anne (Wood) Matz , 85, of Quakertown, PA went home to be with the Lord on Monday, October 21, 2024 at St. Luke's Hospital - Upper Bucks Campus.

Carole was the loving wife of the late John M. Matz, Sr. for 55 years. She was born in Philadelphia, PA to the late Harold Wood and the late Helene (Fitzgerald) Wood.

Carole attended Little Flower High School in Philadelphia, PA.

She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Carole worked as a floral designer for the former Thayer's Farm in Quakertown, PA. She then worked in the medical records for the Quakertown Hospital and later for the former Dr. Gribb in Doylestown, PA. Carole was employed as a sales associate for the former Bon-Ton in Quakertown, PA.

She was a former Den Mother for the Boy Scouts in Levittown and a Girl Scout leader for the St. Isidore Parish in Quakertown.

Carole was a member of St. Isidore's Roman Catholic Parish in Quakertown.

She loved children and was always caring for others. Carole was also an avid reader.

She was a kind and giving woman who had a good sense of humor, loved to tell jokes, and was always 'peachy'.

Carole is survived by her four children, Barbara L. Wasko & companion, Dean Landis of Quakertown, PA, John M. Matz, Jr. & wife, Marianne of Perkasie, PA, Deborah L. Breiner & husband, Bill of Quakertown, PA, Norman G. Matz & wife, Kristine of Cheshire, CT; her 11 grandchildren – Annette, Matthew, Andrea, Danielle, John, Julie, Michael, William, Natalie, Katrina, & Alyssa; and her 13 great-grandchildren – Eva, Olivia, Malaia, Ben, Walker, Raylan, Abbie, Baillee, Eleanor, Thomas, Henry, Layla, & Jolie.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Jessica Lynn Wirth and her sister, Helene "Theresa" Barr.

A visitation will be held on Friday, November 8, 2024 from 10:00 am - 11:00 am at St. Isidore's Roman Catholic Parish, 2545 West Pumping Station Road, Quakertown, PA 18951, followed by a funeral mass at 11:00 am.

Inurnment will take place at Quakertown Union Cemetery.
