Catherine "Cathie" Mary Roetto , 83, of Collegeville, PA; formerly of Washington DC went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 3, 2022, at ManorCare Health Services in Pottstown.

She was born in Washington, District of Columbia to the late Natale Roetto and the late Gemma (Minarelli) Roetto.

Cathie graduated from Sacred Heart Academy in Washington, DC, class of 1957. She was a member of St. Ann's Roman Catholic Church.

Cathie worked at the CIA for 42 years. She worked in the office of Medical Services, first as a secretary to the deputy and then the Chief of the Psychiatric division. She also functioned as a psychometrist helping to screen psychological testing.  Later, she went into social work and counseling. She established an eldercare program and facilitated grief and eldercare support groups.  After retirement, she volunteered for 14 years at the Washington Hospice House in their inpatient unit.

Cathie was an accomplished Ballroom dancer, competing locally and nationally, winning many trophies. She was a world traveler, and an avid reader. She loved music, the arts and cats.

Cathie was a hardworking, intelligent, sociable, thoughtful woman who had a great sense of humor and was always willing to help others.

She is survived by her cousins, Christine Roetto of Red Hill, PA, and Faith Diascro of Bechtelsville, PA.

At the request of Cathie, there will be NO services.
