Charles James Fanelli, Sr. aka Charlie & Chuck , 84, of Zieglerville, PA and Palm Beach Gardens, FL; formerly of Havertown & Phoenixville, PA passed away on Thursday, September 30, 2021 at Quakertown Center.

He was born in Philadelphia, PA to the late Salvatore Fanelli and the late Martha (Brango) Fanelli.

Charles graduated from Haverford High School in Havertown, PA, class of 1955. He was employed as a manager for the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board in Montgomery County for over 25 years.

Charles was an avid golfer. During the early 1980's, he was a Pennridge little league coach where he and his son were part of the championship team. Charles was a huge sports fanatic and loved the EAGLES and the Flyers. More recently, he had the chance to go to Italy with his son and he really cherished the opportunity to visit his family origin. In his younger years, Charles played football, basketball, baseball, and bowling.

He was a hardworking, mild manner, loving father and grandfather who had a good sense of humor.

Charles is survived by his two sons, Charles "Chuck" Fanelli, Jr. & wife, Joy of Zieglerville, PA and Ken Margraff & wife, Catherine "Cathy" of Coopersburg, PA; his three daughters, Deborah "Debbie" Margraff of Arlington, VA, Mary Hulmes & husband, Robert of Pipersville, PA, Ann John & husband, Paul of Olmsted Falls, OH; his 13 grandchildren – Emily, Elizabeth, Eva, Elyse, KJ, Danny, Erin, Katie, Bobby, Jennifer, Caitlyn, Shannon & Christopher; his five great-grandchildren – Joshua, Caleb, Addy, Jackson, & Beckham; his sister, Ann Marie "Bunnie" Kelly of Glenmoore, PA; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his three brothers, Roy, Sam, & Neil Fanelli.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, October 7, 2021 at Anders-Detweiler Funeral Home & Crematory from 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm.

A committal service will be held at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Road, Newtown, Pennsylvania 18940 on Friday, October 29, 2021 at 11:00am.

Inurnment will take place at Washington Crossing National Cemetery.
