Oct 19, 1951 — Mar 31, 2024
Charles "Charlie" G. Graff , 72, of Philadelphia, PA; formerly of Sellersville, PA, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 31, 2024 after a brave battle with ALS. He was surrounded by his loved ones.
Charlie was the loving husband of Ruth Elaine (Rapp) Graff for 49 years. He was born in Abington, PA to the late Charles Joseph Graff and the late Iva May (Rink) Graff.
Charlie graduated from William Tennent High School in Warminster, PA, class of 1969. He attended Butler University in Indianapolis, IN for one year. He was then drafted into the United States Army National Guard and served as an infantryman during the Vietnam War.
Charlie had many professions, but his primary passion was seeing people come to the Lord as an evangelist - traveling up and down the East Coast preaching the gospel and helping families who lost a child. He was known as "Pastor Charlie" to his congregants and began pastoring in the early 80's in Walkertown, NC. He continued ministering at a number of churches in Pennsylvania: Valley View Bible Church in Telford, PA, Living Word Community in Franconia, PA, Lower Skippack Mennonite Church in Skippack, PA, The Chapel in Limerick, PA, and Berean Bible Church in Philadelphia, PA.
Charlie was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He was compassionate, hard-working, loving, and humorous. He enjoyed playing baseball, bowling, golfing, deep sea fishing, crabbing, and cooking. He was a radio announcer for WCHR in Yardley, PA and for WBUX in Doylestown, PA.
In addition to his wife, Ruth, he is survived by his three daughters, Rebecca "Becky" Ruth Wright & husband, Jack of Telford, PA, Jessica "Jessie" Leigh Shoop & husband, Michael of East Greenville, PA, Kathryn "Katy" Elaine Dunlap & husband, Benjamin of Quakertown, PA; his two sons, Russell "Rusty" David Graff of Arlington, VA, Andrew "Andy" Robert Graff & wife, Amanda of Dublin, PA; and his seven grandchildren – Sydney, Jack, Madison, Ben, Kayleigh, Solomon, & Amelia.
In addition to his parents, Charlie was preceded in death by his 9-year-old son, Charles "Chuck" David Graff and his sister, Judith "Judy" Weil.
