Obituary

Christopher D. Stewart , 55, of Souderton, PA; formerly of Perkasie, PA passed away on Monday, January 30, 2023, at Abington-Lansdale Hospital.

He was the loving husband of Cindy A. (Winner) Stewart for 31 years. Chris was born in Philadelphia, PA to Carol (Drepperd) Stewart of Sellersville, PA and the late James R. Stewart.

He graduated from William Tennent High School in Warminster, class of 1986.

Chris was employed as a Corporate Audit Business Specialist for AmeriHealth Caritas in Newtown Square, PA for the past 9 years. Prior to AmeriHealth, Chris worked in Information Technology for GMAC Mortgage and Rockwell Transportation. However, Chris loved training, and took pride in owning his own company CompuClass, which taught basic as well as advanced courses in Microsoft Office programs.

Chris once served on the Occupational Advisory Committee at the Middle Bucks Institute of Technology and was involved with the Warminster Chamber of Commerce. He was elected as a Representative of the Montgomery County Democratic Committee, serving Area 3. Through the Care Crew at AmeriHealth Caritas, Chris volunteered at Emmanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church in Souderton, PA., serving meals to those in need during the pandemic, as well as Restore Thrift Stores by Habitat for Humanity.

Chris enjoyed fishing, photography, music, books/audiobooks, and comics. He was a huge fan of Spiderman. Chris had a love of travel, and it was his dream to one day see Scotland. He loved playing video games. He especially loved his online gaming nights with his group called "The Wolf Pack". Chris was a critic of everything pop culture, but really loved movies, especially horror movies. His happy place was visiting Universal Studios in Orlando, FL, especially around Halloween. Chris was a huge Philadelphia sports fan. He loved Gritty and was looking forward to another E-A-G-L-E-S! Superbowl win.

Chris was a Cat Dad and loved his two cats, Nick and Nora, named after one of his favorite movies, The Thin Man. But most importantly, Chris was a devoted husband and father. He doted on his daughter Heather and cherished their "Daddy-Daughter Days". Chris even spent time assisting the coaches of his daughter's Pennridge Green Jackets cheer squad. He had no inhibition and got out there to cheer with them. If given the opportunity, he would perform the cheers to this day. He always made sure that family vacations were extra special. He would get a limo to the airport or take the family on special outings or experiences. Every moment would be planned on a spreadsheet, to assure no time was wasted.

In addition to his mother and wife, he is survived by his daughter, Heather M. Stewart of Souderton, PA; his sister, Laura M. Ennis & husband, Michael of Elverson, PA; his niece, Alicia Mays of Elverson, PA; and his nephew, Shawn Mays of Los Angeles, CA.
