Claire Celeste (Anderson) Jense n, 90, of Telford, PA, formerly of Manhasset, NY, passed away on Wednesday, January 24, 2024 at the Lutheran Community at Telford.

Claire was the loving wife of Preben Jensen for 68 years. She was born in Indianapolis, IN to the late William Chester Anderson and the late Nellie Brough (O'Banion) Anderson.

Claire graduated from Shortridge High School, Indianapolis, IN, class of 1951. She graduated from Butler University, Indianapolis, IN with a BA, John Heron Art Institute, Indianapolis, IN and Pratt Institute in NYC.

After raising three children, Claire worked as an administrative assistant at Church of Our Saviour, Lutheran in Manhasset, NY.

Claire was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority; past President of SCA (School Community Association), Manhasset, NY; past President of the South Strathmore Association, Manhasset, NY; member of South Strathmore Women's Club, Manhasset, NY; member of the AAUW and a dedicated member of the Ruth Circle of Church of Our Saviour, Lutheran, Manhasset, NY.

Claire was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was an accomplished painter, active in her community, a world traveler as well as an avid reader, savvy bridge player and excellent baker. No one left Claire's table hungry!

Claire is survived by her husband, Preben, their three children, Kristina Ahlman, Peter Jensen, Ingrid Battaglia and six grand children, Hannah, Jens Peter, Emily, Christopher, Johnathan and Andrew. She will be forever loved and greatly missed.

A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family.
