Colonel, U.S.A. Army (Retired) Patrick Edward Logan, Sr. , 72, of Perkasie, PA; formerly of Fairfax Station, VA, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 11, 2024.

Pat was born in Bridgeport, Connecticut to the late Donald Edward Logan and the late Bernice Veronica (Carty) Logan. He graduated from Staples High School in Westport, CT, class of 1969. He was commissioned a second lieutenant and awarded a Bachelor of Science degree from the United States Military Academy West Point in 1973.

Pat proudly served his country for 30 years as a member of the United States Army Special Forces. Throughout his distinguished military career, he had the privilege of serving in various capacities and traveled to many countries around the world. Most notably, he was a graduate from the Armed Forces Staff College in 1987 and the United States Army War College in 1995.  Pat was assigned as Chief of Staff at Camp H.M. Smith in Hawaii from 1995-1998. In 1998, he was assigned Chief, Special Operations Division, (MSOS-SOD) ODCSOPS, Pentagon, Washington, DC. He retired from active duty in 2003 and continued with the civil service as Deputy Chief, Special Operations Division at the Pentagon until retirement.

Pat holds the rating of Master Parachutist and has been award the Ranger Special Forces Tabs, Expert Infantryman Badge, Defense Superior Service Medal, several Defense Meritorious Service Medals and Awards, Joint Service Commendation Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Joint Service Achievement Medal, Army Achievement Medal (3rd award), Joint Meritorious Unit Award w/OLC, Army Superior Unit Award, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Army Service Ribbon, several Overseas Service Ribbons, Joint Chiefs of Staff Identification Badge, and Army Staff Identification Badge.

Pat was a kind, quiet, strong, and caring man who deeply loved his family. He enjoyed working on cars, especially his prized 1968 Chevy Corvette. He was a master craftsman who took meticulous pride in building and refinishing furniture and perfecting the artisanship of his home. He also loved being outdoors where he would often design and refine the landscaping around his home. He enjoyed staying active by playing tennis, racquetball, and golf. Pat had a passion for travel and music, often attending classic rock concerts. Most importantly, Pat loved spending time with his family while enjoying an evening bowl of ice cream, popcorn or a cup of coffee.

Married 37 years, Pat was a devoted and loving husband to Angela (Criscuoli) Logan. He is also survived by his two daughters, Lori Ann Pavone & fiancé, Kevin Mullineaux of Newport, NC, Michelle Leilani Eberts & husband, Timothy of Perkasie, PA; his son, Patrick Edward Logan, Jr. & wife, Kate of Spring, TX; his seven grandchildren – Jacob Pavone, Ellen Pavone, Nolan Eberts, Madison Eberts, Dolores Jaime, Drake Logan, & Drew Logan; his two great-grandchildren – Emma Jaime and Elijah Jaime; his three brothers, James Logan of Candia, NH; Craig Logan & wife, Sharon of Wilton, CT, Brian Logan & wife, Laura of Monroe, CT; and his sister, Betsy Rice & husband, Donald of Charleston, SC.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, January 18th, 2024 at 9:30 am at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, 235 E. State St, Doylestown, PA 18901, followed by a eulogy at 10:15 am and a funeral mass at 10:30 am.

Burial will take place at Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, VA. Additional details to follow.
