Jeanette (Hendricks) Hewitt , 89, of Hilltown, PA went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 31, 2021 at Lutheran Community at Telford.

She was the loving wife of the late Robert W. Hewitt for 42 years. Jeanette was born in Doylestown, PA to the late Paul S. Hendricks and the late Dorothy M. (Fellman) Hendricks.

She graduated from Hilltown High School, class of 1949. Jeanette later graduated from Bob Jones University in Greenville, SC, with an associate's degree in Christian Education. She worked as an administrative assistant for the former Paul S. Hendricks Coal & Fuel Oil in Hilltown and later for the former Niessen Dunlap & Pritchard CPA's in Colmar, PA.

Jeanette was a board member of the Child Evangelism Fellowship of Bucks County for over 40 years and a board member of Mission's Project Fellowship in Telford. She was a life member of Hilltown Baptist Church where she served as a Sunday school teacher, on the committee of pioneer girls, on the missions committee, was active in the music program, and was a member of the Birthday Bells.

Jeanette enjoyed outdoor activities such as gardening, flowers, and mowing. She was very dedicated in sending cards for birthdays, anniversaries, and holidays. Jeanette was an avid reader and loved studying the Bible. She enjoyed crossword and jigsaw puzzles and dining out at diners. Jeanette loved annual travels with her late husband to Florida.

She was an independent, generous, outgoing, friendly woman who loved to laugh, was a constant encourager to others, and was faithful to her Lord.

Jeanette is survived by her two sons, Brent R. Hewitt & wife, Wendy of Richlandtown, PA, Barry P. Hewitt & wife, Michele of Hilltown, PA; her son-in-law, Joseph Darrow of Philadelphia, PA; her 12 grandchildren – Joy, Jared, Zach, Eliza, Joey, Hillary, Colton, Makenna, Kielee, Blair, Brock, & Blake; her eight great-grandchildren – Nate, Jude, Selah, Auden, Mae, Florence, Nova, & Lyrah; her two brothers, Walter P. Hendricks of Hilltown, PA, L. Wayne Hendricks & wife, Mildred "Millie" of Springtown, PA; her three sisters, Pauline L. Leuzinger-Wright & husband, Marty of Jamison, PA, Ruth K. Flewelling & husband, Weldon of New Milford, PA, Dorothy W. Garis & husband, Richard of Perkasie, PA.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her infant son, David Hewitt; her daughter, Laurie M. Darrow; her brother-in-law, Frederick Leuzinger; and her sister-in-law, Patricia Hendricks.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 6, 2021 at 10:00 am at Hilltown Baptist Church, 26 Upper Church Road, Chalfont, Pennsylvania 18914. An informal visitation will be held on Friday, August 6, 2021 at Hilltown Baptist Church from 11:30 am - 1:00 pm.

Burial will take place at Hilltown Baptist Church Cemetery.
