Daniel John
Bosco
May 8, 1944 — Dec 19, 2020
Daniel John Bosco aka "Popeye" , 76, of Lansdale, PA; formerly of Mascoutah, IL & Oreland, PA entered into rest on Saturday, December 19, 2020 at Keystone Care in Wyndmoor.
He was the loving husband of Mary Ann (Turner) Bosco for 23 years. Dan was born in Philadelphia, PA to the late Nicholas Bosco and Jean (Buckley) Bosco.
He attended Conshohocken High School in Conshohocken, PA. Dan formerly worked for the former Alan Wood Steel Company in Conshohocken. He was then employed as a truck driver for the former Gill Quarries, Inc. in Montgomeryville, PA for more than 15 years.
Dan enjoyed tinkering with cars and trucks. In his younger years, he had his own custom hot rod that was a station wagon painted black with side pipes and mag wheels. Dan loved spending time with his family, especially his grandkids. After retirement, he and his wife loved traveling across the U.S. in their RV and going on cruises. Dan also always loved going to the Jersey Shore. He often visited his favorite local places, Eve's Lunch in Norristown for their Zeps, and Yum Yum donuts for a "white lightning".
He was a strong man, both mentally and physically. Dan was a hard worker, had a good sense of humor, was a great storyteller, and would love to talk to anyone he came in contact with. He was a very memorable man and was always willing to do anything for others. Dan's circle was small but everybody knew him and once you met him, you wouldn't forget him!
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Brenda L. James & husband, Thomas of Souderton, PA; his son, Daniel M. Johnson of Schwenksville, PA; his step-daughter, Christine Kuhlhoff of Swansea, IL; his step-son, William Yeager of Missoula, MT; his three grandchildren – Andrea, Ashley, & Jason; his two step-grandchildren – Scott & Haley; his two step-great-grandchildren – Jacob & Aubrey; and his brother, Nicholas Bosco, Jr. & wife, Janet of Birdsboro, PA.
In addition to his parents, Dan was preceded in death by his first wife, Joan Bosco, and granddaughter, Alicia M. Krzemien.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the convenience of the family.
