David Wesley Dagger , 67, of Harleysville, PA; formerly of Souderton, PA & Scranton, PA went home to be with the Lord unexpectedly on Wednesday, June 22, 2022 at St. Luke's Hospital in Quakertown, PA.

Dave was a devoted family man and godly husband who loved others fiercely. He was a helper and a giver, whether with his time, tools, sweat equity, support or prayers.   Those who knew him, often heard him say, "Yeah, we can do that!"  He had a quirky sense of humor, was generous in sharing both friendship and laughter, and bestowed wisdom on anyone he encountered. Dave had a way with words and loved to compose poetry. His gift of gab meant that he never met a stranger.

Dave enjoyed watching Penn State football, Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles games - no matter how much they made him pace and yell at the screen.  He often attended car shows with his son Sam and played pick up basketball games in the driveway.  Dave was a handyman to his core and often said, "I am a Jack of all trades, master of none, if I can't do it for money, I'll do it for fun!"

Dave was the loving husband of Rebecca L. (Thomas) Dagger for 48 years. He was born in Scranton, PA, the son of the late Marilyn (Owens) June.

Dave graduated from West Scranton High School, class of 1972 and later with an Associates Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Penn State University, Worthington Campus, class of 1974.

He was employed as a Mechanical Engineer and worked at the former Link Belt (now known as FMC Technologies) in Chalfont, PA for 46 years.

Dave was formerly a member of Faith Baptist Church in Sellersville, PA (now known as Faith at Sellersville) where he served as a deacon, usher, and longtime parking attendant. He was a current member of Upper Perkiomen Community Church in East Greenville, PA where he served as an usher, deacon, the "D" in  the "D and O Wednesday Work Team," and volunteered in many areas. In 2009, he and his wife were part of the leadership team that helped establish the church.

In addition to his wife, Dave is survived by daughters, Marilyn R. Denney & husband, Benjamin of Gilbertsville, PA, Sarah A. Teachout & husband, Michael of New Richmond, WI; and son, Samuel D. Dagger & wife, Stephanie of Lansdale, PA; four grandchildren – Benjamin, David, Wesley, & Torianna.

He is also survived by a brother, Raymond E. Dagger & wife, Janis of Mt. Airy, MD; his two sisters, Patrice "Patty" L. Lowe of South Abington, PA, Sheila Valenta & husband, Paul of Scranton, PA; his brother-in-law, James F. Thomas & wife, Andrea of Greenville, SC; his sister-in-law, Martha Thomas of Woodruff, SC; and his uncle, Howard Owens & wife Kathy of Dalton, PA.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his step-father Sheridan June, his birth father, Delbert Dagger, his Uncle Lee Owens & wife Helen, and his brother-in-laws, Paul L. Lowe and Paul Thomas.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, July 2, 2022 starting promptly at 10:30 am at Upper Perkiomen Community Church, 258 Main Street, East Greenville, PA 18041, followed by a reception and informal visitation with the family.

A private burial will take place at Limerick Garden of Memories.
