David V. Manners , loving husband, and devoted father of three, passed away suddenly Sunday, January 24 ^th .

David was born on September 17, 1968 in Southwest Philadelphia.

His family belonged to Our Lady of Loretto RC Church.

David attended West Catholic High School and later earned a master's degree in Educational Psychology and Counseling from West Chester University before beginning his career in School Counseling at Central Dauphin High School in 2000. Following his marriage to Tiffany R. Dickey, David moved to the Montgomery County area in 2003. David continued his work in School Counseling and remained a highly respected faculty member at Central Bucks West High School. Here, he introduced Mindfulness to CBW students, a practice he found to be his most rewarding professional experience. He was also recently honored to have been asked to be the advisor of the Brown Student Union at CBW.

His Southwest Philly roots helped foster David's one of a kind comedic sensibilities, which would be part of his legacy his entire life. But beneath David's witty charm lay an amiable and considerate philosopher, supportive of those in need and generous to all.

David always had a place in his heart for his acoustic and electric guitars and made soulful music with bands his entire adult life. Other hobbies included hiking, physical fitness, disc golf, cooking and photography. His zeal for new adventures led him recently to learn to sail, and to enjoy camping in a whole new way, taking his family on RV excursions to State and National Parks – and when the summer heat was at its peak, to numerous travel soccer games in which all three of his children are strong players. David was a tried and true Eagles fan.

David is survived by his wife Tiffany, sons Liam and Cole, and daughter Aidia. David is also survived by his mother Rosa Manners, brother William (Karen), sister Nancy Warner (Todd), nieces Christine, Julia, Diana and Hailey, nephews Alex, Colby, Robbie, Connor, Austin and Ben, father-in-law Warren Dickey (Donna), sisters-in-law Krista Klumpp (Charles) and Brittany Golosi (Eric).  David's father William Manners predeceased David in 1989.

A private memorial and burial service will be held for close family.

An outdoor Celebration of Life memorial gathering, open to family and friends, is planned for the spring; announcements will be made separately.
