Dawn Bernice
Frye
Jun 20, 1976 — Aug 24, 2026
Dawn Bernice Frye, 50, of Schwenksville, Pennsylvania, formerly of Pottstown, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 24, 2026, at Fox Chase Cancer Center in Philadelphia.
Dawn was born in Phoenixville, Pennsylvania, to the late Marshall E. Ricketts and Barbara A. Frye of Schwenksville. She was a graduate of Devereux Day School in Downingtown, Pennsylvania, Class of 1997.
Dawn had a compassionate heart and found great joy in helping others. She generously volunteered her time with The Salvation Army in Pottstown and The Daily Bread Community Food Pantry in Schwenksville. She was always willing to lend a helping hand, especially to those who were sad or in need. Dawn had a special gift for comforting others, bringing joy to those around her, and making people feel cared for.
An artistic and creative soul, Dawn loved crafts, jewelry making, drawing, coloring, and creating beautiful artwork on cardstock. She enjoyed designing her own jewelry and expressing herself through artwork, poetry, and writing stories. She also loved playing games with others and sharing her cheerful personality and wonderful sense of humor. Dawn was outgoing, funny, caring, and loving, and she often put the needs of others before her own.
Dawn's kind and generous spirit touched the lives of many. She was a true angel with an exceptionally loving and compassionate soul, and she will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
In addition to her mother, Barbara A. Frye, Dawn is survived by her six siblings: Angel Miranda Young of Sicklerville, New Jersey; Marshall Brandon Ricketts of Beckley, West Virginia; Amber Rae Ricketts of Kissimmee, Florida; Sarah Nicole Ricketts of Kissimmee, Florida; Wesley James Ricketts of Beckley, West Virginia; and Eric Jackson Ricketts of Shady Spring, West Virginia.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
