Obituary

Dennis Roy Masten , 71, of Lansdale, PA; formerly of Souderton, PA & Hatfield, PA passed away on Sunday, September 18, 2022 at Harborview Rehab & Care Center in Lansdale, PA.

He was the loving husband of the late Louise K. (Johnson) Masten for 33 years. Dennis was born in Sellersville, PA to the late Paul Masten and the late Grace (Wambold) Masten.

He graduated from Souderton High School, class of 1969.

Dennis worked in customer service for Shelly & Fenstermacher in Souderton, PA. In 1994, he was employed as a Toll Collector for PA Turnpike Commission, until retiring in 2011. Dennis volunteered local elections in his community and encouraged the process of voting. He was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ in Lansdale, PA.

Dennis was always concerned about the environment and justice for all. He was avid about promoting and supporting people's rights to vote. Dennis had a unique way of staying inquisitive about the information presented to him. He went to the beat of his own drum. Dennis was a sweet man without a bad bone in his body. He loved his dog Sammie as a faithful companion. Dennis also loved music and even enjoyed a trip to New Orleans to experience the local culture.

Dennis is survived by his second wife, Linda L. Masten of Sellersville, PA; step-mother, Barbara Masten of Lansdale, PA; his three step-sons, Paul M. Zegray & wife, Michelle of Quakertown, PA, Steven M. Zegray of Lawrenceville, NJ, and James D. Weikel of Mesa, AZ; his step-daughter, Wendy Weikel & husband, Carl A. Warner of Lansdale, PA; and his two step-grandchildren, Carl Anthony Warner of Pompano Beach, FL & Damon Zegray of Quakertown, PA.

The family welcomes people on Saturday, October 8, 2022 at 1:00 pm to the Peace Valley Park, 264 Creek Rd, Doylestown, PA 18901 where his ashes will be scattered in one of his favorite places to visit. The family asks that everyone will meet at the Galena Village Parking Lot.
