Diane F. (Flewelling) Williams , 76, went home to our Lord and Savior while surrounded by loved ones on Tuesday, September 19, 2023, at Peter Becker Senior Living Community in Harleysville, PA.

Friends are invited to attend a memorial service at 10 a.m. on Saturday, October 7 at Clifton Springs United Methodist Church with a reception immediately to follow in the Grace Fellowship Hall. A private burial will be held at Resthaven Cemetery in Phelps, NY.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the House of John, 14 Spring Street, Clifton Springs, NY 14432.

Diane was born on August 13, 1947 in Sellersville, PA, to the late Samuel and Grace (Nice) Frankenfield. In 1972, she moved to the Finger Lakes with her high school sweetheart, Carl, and quickly found a career with the Griswold family at Ontario Telephone Company. Her long tenure there forged lasting connections that spanned generations, fostering a network of cherished family friends. She and Carl were entrepreneurs and purchased Joel Caves Lumber in Phelps which ran successfully for 10 years. With business partners Paul and Julie Griswold, they opened Millwood Crossing, a farm and craft market that was enjoyed by many in the community.

After Carl's passing on October 6, 1993, Diane met and married Wayne B. Williams. They enjoyed 20 years together before Wayne's passing on October 19, 2019. Diane and Wayne created many memories together with family and friends, camping in their RV, hosting family dinners and holidays, trying out new recipes, and spending time with their grandkids.

Diane moved back to Pennsylvania in 2020 after Wayne's passing to be closer to her daughter, Tammy, and her sister and brothers.

What brought Diane the most joy was spending time with her family.  She loved planning annual vacations to her favorite beach, Ocean City, NJ where she would float in the water with her children and grandchildren and sneak away to play Pac-Man and skee ball on the boardwalk.  She also spent a weekend each year in Ocean City with her cherished sister and brothers.  Raised Pennsylvania Dutch Mennonite, Diane showed love to her family by cooking and baking traditional Dutch meals which were enjoyed by all, especially Wayne.

Diane is survived by her two daughters, Tammy Halteman and Jackie (Stephen) Doyle; her seven grandchildren, Danielle (Alex) Thomas, Breanne (Matt) McDavid, Morgan (Jeff) Kowalski, Troy (Kara) Halteman, Ryan Doyle, Caitlyn (Jake Catalioto) Doyle, Grace "Pepper" Doyle; six great-grandchildren, Thomas Kowalski, Cora Thomas, Daniel Kowalski, Maya McDavid, Della Thomas, and Brooks McDavid. Brothers, Larry Frankenfield, James (Jane) Frankenfield, Durell (Beth) Frankenfield, and sister Darlene (Steve) Halteman who unfailingly cared for Diane in her last days.

Diane served on the Board of Directors for the Phelps Chamber of Commerce, was a volunteer at Second Seasons Consignment Shop in Clifton Springs, and was a member of Clifton Springs United Methodist Church where she was part of the Handbell Choir.

Besides her two husbands, Diane was predeceased by her son-in-law, E. Ray Halteman on March 27, 2023.
