Obituary

Donald "Don" R. Renner , 87, of Perkasie, PA; formerly of Lansdale, PA went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 19, 2024 at LifeQuest Nursing Center.

Don was the loving husband of Carolyn (Myers) Renner for 28 years. He was born in Perkasie, PA to the late Edwin Renner and the late Esther (Rosenberger) Renner.

Don attended Sell-Perk High School.

He worked in his father's furniture store, the former Renner & Lowry in Perkasie, PA. Don was employed as a photographer for the Perkasie, News Herald, The Intelligencer, and the North Penn Reporter for more than 30 years. He then worked as a furnace builder for the former Vacuum Furnace System Corp in Souderton, PA.

Don was a life member of the Clover Leaf Archery Club in Milford Square, PA. He was a attendee of East Rockhill Chapel in Quakertown.

Don loved photography. He won awards for his pictures including the 'Gallery in the Park' and was even paid by The Associated Press for his wonderful pictures. Alongside his wife, Don enjoyed reenactments of the Fur Trade Era. He learned how to make things like the Native Americans including making his own bow and arrows, tanning the deer hides, made buck skin clothing, woven headbands, bead work, etc.. Don loved archery. He enjoyed couples leagues with his wife, hunting, and he even won awards for archery.

Don had a great sense of humor and loved to joke.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his step-son, Shad R. Myers & wife, Krista of Quakertown, PA; his five children, Donna Canino of Edwardsville, PA, Terry O'Malley of Leominster, MA, Charles "Chuck" Renner & wife, Kim of Jim Thorpe, PA, Traci Concert & husband, Angelo of Harveys Lake, PA, Joy Mecca of Wilkes-Barre, PA; his step-grandson, Peyton J. Myers of Quakertown, PA; his two step-granddaughters, Macy E. Myers of Quakertown, PA, Kayleigh Myers of Quakertown, PA; his 13 grandchildren; his several great-grandchildren; his brother, Millard "Shorty" Renner & wife, Karla of Sellersville, PA; his three nephews, Shane Renner, Jeff Weisberg, Jamey Weisberg; and his niece, Tiffany Renner.

At the request of the family, there will be NO services.
