Doris Elaine (Baum) Garges , 90, of Perkasie, PA, formerly of Hilltown Township went home to be with the Lord on Monday, April 11, 2022 at Harborview Rehab & Care Center, Lansdale, PA.
She was the loving wife of the late John A. Garges for thirty years. Doris was born in Plumstead Township, PA to the late William D. Baum and the late Ruth (Schmell) Baum.
Doris graduated from Doylestown High School, class of 1949.
Doris was employed by the Pennridge School District during the late 80's to early 90's. She was also a volunteer during the 90's for the Care and Share Thrift Shops, Souderton, PA.
Throughout her married lifetime, she was a member of the Doylestown Mennonite Church, where she served as a Sunday School Secretary, on the Library Committee and enjoyed the Ladies Sewing Circle.
Doris was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, who enjoyed baking and tending to her vegetable and flower gardens.
She is survived by her three sons, Dean A. Garges and wife Karen of Sellersville, Jay L. Garges and Gary L. Garges both of Perkasie, PA, her two grandchildren, Jessica Clark and husband Steve and Christopher Gaily and wife Katie; her three great-grandchildren, Allison, Leah and Tyler; her brother Richard Baum and wife Jeanette of Perkasie, PA.
A Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 19th, 2022 at Doylestown Mennonite Church, 590 N. Broad St., Doylestown, PA 18901 from 9:30 to 10:00 am. A Memorial Service will follow at 10:00 am.
Burial will take place at Doylestown Mennonite Cemetery.
