Obituary

Dorothy L. (Gruver) Bleam , 80, of Sellersville, formerly of Quakertown passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 29, 2025 at Hidden Meadows on the Ridge.

She was the loving wife of the late Ronald Bleam, with whom she shared 39 wonderful years of marriage.

Dorothy was born in Quakertown on December 16, 1944, to the late John Milton Gruver and the late Ann (Drasher) Gruver. An active member of the Quakertown High School class of 1962. Dorothy graduated from the Reading Hospital School of Nursing in 1965, and was employed as a Registered Nurse for Quakertown Community Hospital for many years.

She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, and dedicated RN. She enjoyed traveling, boating and spending time in Cape Coral, FL. She had a passion for singing and dancing to Elvis Presley, and adored her dogs over the years – ShuShu, Benny, and Gia.

She is survived by her daughter, Heather Bleam Schroding (husband Larry Schroding) of Green Lane, PA; her son, Shawn Bleam (wife Deborah Benyik) of Boulder, CO; and her grandchildren, McKenna, Alex, and Eve. She is also survived by her two sisters, Marcia McSherry and Edith Stull, and her two brothers, John Gruver and Ralph Gruver.
