Dorothy "Dottie" (Landis) Duke , 90, of North Wales, formerly of Hatfield, PA, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 26, 2024 at Horsham Center for Jewish Life, North Wales, PA.
She was the loving wife of the late Joseph H. Duke for 58 years. Dottie was born in Lansdale, PA to the late John and Blanche (Swartley) Landis.
Dottie graduated from Lansdale High School, class of 1952. She was a former employee of Porter Instruments and was also employed as a Salesperson for Hatfield Packing for 30 years retiring in the late 1990's.
She was a life member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Lansdale, PA.
Dottie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with her three grandsons. Dottie was a very sociable and outgoing person, who enjoyed going on bus trips and meeting people and making new friends. She was a member of the Hatfield Women's Civic Club, Sellersville Moose and Card Club Girls. She enjoyed butterflies, the beach and light houses.
Dottie is survived by her two sons, Kerry Duke of Hatfield, PA, and Kevin Duke & wife Mary Anne of Telford, PA; her daughter, Karen Barish & husband (Craig) of Collegeville, PA; her 3 grandchildren, Brandon, Joshua, and Tyler, her four great grandchildren, Grayson, Dean, Cole and Evangeline Dorothy.
She was preceded in death by husband, Joseph H. Duke, her three brothers, John, Marvin, and Richard Landis; her two sisters, Esther Rogers and Lorraine Landis.
A visitation will be held on Monday, July 8, 2024, at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1000 W. Main St., Lansdale, PA 19446 from 10:00am to 11:00 am, followed by a funeral service beginning at 11:00am.
Burial will take place at Whitemarsh Memorial Park.
