Douglas D.
Dunham
Dec 23, 1953 — Apr 27, 2026
Douglas "Doug" D. Dunham , 72, of Quakertown, Pennsylvania formerly of Souderton, went home to be with the Lord unexpectedly on Monday, April 27, 2026, at St. Luke's University Hospital in Bethlehem.
He was the beloved husband of Kathleen M. (Smith) Dunham, with whom he shared 47 years of marriage. Born in Wheatland, Wyoming, Doug was the son of the late Kenneth Dunham and the late Helen (Deal) Dunham.
Doug graduated from LaGrange High School in Wyoming with the Class of 1972. He went on to earn his bachelor's degree in Bible and Secondary Education from Pillsbury Baptist Bible College in 1977.
Doug's career combined entrepreneurship and skilled trades. He began as a roofer for Rulon in Harleysville before co‑owning and operating Northeast Specialty Coating there, his principal business. He went on to spend 14 years as a laminator at Century Kitchens in Colmar and held laminating positions with Off the Wall in Sellersville. In his later years he worked part-time at Michael's in Quakertown, a role he cherished for the social interaction and community connection it provided.
A devoted member of Faith Baptist Church (now Faith Church at Sellersville), Doug served faithfully as a deacon and was a familiar presence across many ministries, supporting the Widow & Widowers Ministry, teaching Adult Sunday School, participating in Awana, and volunteering with the church facilities team.
Doug was a dedicated athlete who loved spending time at the gym and long‑distance running, completing numerous marathons and three 50‑mile ultramarathons. He was also a loyal fan of the New York Yankees and the Denver Broncos.
Above all, Doug was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He was known for his compassion, his readiness to lend a helping hand, and a funny, lighthearted sense of humor that brought joy to all who knew him.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his two daughters, Leslie A. Baker and her husband, Ron of Quakertown, PA, and Hilary C. Kotecki and her husband, Peter "Pete" of Sellersville, PA; his two granddaughters, Gabrielle and Nigella Baker, both of Quakertown, PA; and his two sisters. Sharon Tremain and her husband, Kenneth and Peggy Tremain and her husband, Richard, all of LaGrange, WY.
A private graveside service will be held at Limerick Garden of Memories.
A Celebration of Life service will take place on Saturday, May 23, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at Faith Church, 700 N. Main Street, Sellersville, PA 18960.
