Douglas "Doug" E. Geib , 62, of Telford, PA; formerly of Schwenksville, PA went home to be with the Lord on Friday, March 11, 2022, at St. Augustine's Medical Services in Grenada, W.I.

He was the loving husband of Louise A. (Mininger) Geib for 39 years. Doug was born in Lancaster, PA to Harold S. Geib of Harleysville, PA, and the late Cora Mae (Gettel) Geib.

He graduated from Pennridge High School, class of 1978.

A master carpenter for nearly 45 years, Doug taught himself the trade of carpentry at a young age. He started as a carpenter for the former Chellew Kitchens in Telford, and then followed his passion to start his own homebuilding business in the Bucks and Montgomery counties. After several years, Doug returned to the construction industry as a union carpenter with the Philadelphia Carpenters Union. Next, he worked as a project manager for the former Tom Wentzel Company, Inc. in Boyertown and then for Hagen Construction in Bensalem. In 2014, he pursued his dream of owning a business with his two sons and formed a real estate development company together—DEG Builders, LLC in Telford.

Doug was a former member of the Indian Valley Mennonite Church (now Indian Valley Faith Fellowship) of Harleysville, where he served as an usher, Sunday School superintendent and building supervisor, among other roles. Later, he became a member of Calvary Church in Souderton.

Family was everything to Doug—he loved spending quality time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Doug was actively involved in his children's athletic careers in field hockey, soccer, wrestling, and rugby; he was a major supporter of the United States Military Academy at West Point and the University of Delaware, where his children graduated. Sports were also important in Doug's life, as he was a true athlete throughout high school and beyond. He played in various adult leagues including the Sanford Alderfer Men's Fast Pitch softball league, where he was the centerfielder. He also enjoyed golf, pickleball, and bicycling. Doug was very adventurous and loved being outdoors—boating, fishing, motorcycle riding, snowmobiling, and traveling.

With his larger-than-life personality, Doug would often be described as the life of the party. His friendly and authentic demeanor always made everyone feel welcomed and special. Doug was a hardworking man with an unparalleled work ethic. He had the best sense of humor and gave the best hugs. A man of strong faith and Christian values, Doug always went out of his way to help others; he loved God and loved people. Doug will be dearly missed by his family, friends and all who knew him.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Leah Geib Maceroli & husband, Dr. Michael Maceroli of Atlanta, GA; his daughter-in-spirit, Brittany N. Gardner & husband, Kevin of Rolling Hills, CA; his two sons, Daniel E. Geib & wife, Katie of Blue Bell, PA, and David E. "Eddie" Geib & wife, Sarah of Gwynedd Valley, PA; his seven grandchildren—Olivia, Jordan, Karter, Keira, Dylan, Grace, and Theodore; his two brothers, Gary L. Geib & wife, Michele "Shelly" of Harleysville, PA, and Ronald B. Geib & wife, Merle Lee of Harleysville, PA; and his sister, Cindy Lisik & husband, John of Venice, FL.

A viewing and formal visitation will be held on Monday, March 21, 2022, at Calvary Church, 820 Souderton Road (Route 113), Souderton, PA 18964 from 9:00 am - 11:00 am, followed by a Celebration of Life service at 11:00 am prompt. An informal visitation and time of fellowship will follow at 12:30 pm. The services will be held in Heritage Hall; please enter at Door #1 (Steeple Entrance).

A private inurnment will take place at Sellersville Cemetery.
