Edith "Ede"(Hendricks) Rupp , 79, of Green Lane, PA formerly of Lansdale went home to be with the Lord on Friday March 12, 2021.

She was the loving wife of the late William F. Rupp III. Ede was born in Spinnerstown, PA to the late Marvin H. and Mabel P. (Gross) Hendricks.

A graduate of Spring-Ford High School, Royersford, PA class of 1960. She continued her education at Coatesville Hospital School of Nursing class of 1963. Ede was employed as a Registered Nurse throughout her working lifetime, retiring as a Director of Nursing at Valley Forge Memorial Hospital, Norristown, PA in 2004.

She was a member of Immanuel Leidy's Church where she was active with Ladies of Leidy's.

Ede enjoyed volunteering with the annual rummage sale, especially organizing the kitchen items.

Helping at the Hands In Service charitable organization was another source of happiness.

A devoted and loving mother, grandmother, and sister. She enjoyed planning and taking trips with family and sisters throughout the United States. Ede was an avid reader (preferably at the beach) and delighted in doing crafts, crocheting, and knitting. She was also a master card player (routinely winning!).

Ede is survived by her daughter Cheryl Rickens and husband Myron of Pittsburgh, PA; her son-in-law Scott Hanley of Boca Raton, FL; four grandchildren, Dustin Hanley, Jennifer, Melissa, and Jason Rickens; three sisters Esther (late husband Harry) Davis of Green Lane, PA, Fern Vasey and husband John of Telford PA, and Pearl Walter and husband Henry of Green Lane, PA.

She was preceded in death by her daughter Lisa L. Hanley, her two brothers, Kenneth and Curtis Hendricks, and her sister Ruth (husband Michael) Gent.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, March 19, 2021 at 11:00 am at Immanuel Leidy's Church, 273 W. Cherry Lane, Souderton, PA 18964 where friends may meet with the family from 9:30 am till time of service.

Inurnment will take place at Providence Church cemetery at a future date.
