Edith (Moyer) Sames, 92, of Sellersville, PA; formerly of Pipersville, PA went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 18, 2023 at The Community at Rockhill.

She was the loving wife of the late Norman Sames for 34 years. Edith was born in Bedminster Twp, PA to the late Leidy Moyer and the late Miriam (Jones) Moyer.

She was a farmer's housewife and a devoted wife and mother. Edith was employed as a cake decorator for Acme Markets in Doylestown, PA and for the Dairy Queen in Doylestown, PA.

She was a former member of the Plumsteadville Grange. Edith was a member of the former Blooming Glen Full Gospel Tabernacle now known as Pennridge Christian Fellowship.

She enjoyed gardening, cooking, canning, sewing, decoupage, and various crafts. Edith loved knitted dozens of black caps for Armed Forces members, making her own hats, and taking photographs of life events. She valued church activities and encouraged many people through visitation at the Rockhill Community. Edith loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was a determined, caring, compassionate woman who was a prayer warrior and always had a listening ear for anyone who wanted to share.

Edith is survived by her daughter, Diane Lynn Guerrieri & husband, Louis of San Antonio, TX; her two sons, Bruce Alan Sames & wife, Elaine of Willow Grove, PA, Carl Lee Sames & wife, Jennifer of Chalfont, PA; her granddaughter, Lisa Johnson & husband, Scott of Austin, TX; her five grandsons, Matthew Guerrieri & wife, Julie of Bedford, TX, Jason Guerrieri of San Antonio, TX, Ryan Sames of Chalfont, PA, Evan Sames of Chalfont, PA, Tyler Sames of Willow Grove, PA; her four great-grandsons, Hayden Johnson of Austin, TX, Gavin Johnson of Austin, TX, Luke Guerrieri of Bedford, TX, Elijah Guerrieri of Bedford, TX; her two great-granddaughters, Catherine Guerrieri of Bedford, TX & Alaina Guerrieri of Bedford, TX; her sister, Dorothy Detweiler of Sellersville, PA; and her brother, Chester Moyer of Warminster, PA.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Dennis Richard Sames; and her four brothers, Joseph, Harold, Raymond, & Walter Moyer.

A viewing will be held on Friday, June 23, 2023 at Anders-Detweiler Funeral Home & Crematory, 130 E. Broad St., Souderton, Pennsylvania 18964 from 10:00 am - 11:00 am, followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 11:00 am.

Burial will take place at Whitemarsh Memorial Park.
