Edward "Chip" Britton Reardon , 77, of Blooming Glen, PA; formerly of Souderton, PA went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 5, 2023 at his residence.

He was the loving husband of Geraldine "Gerri" Reardon for 50 years. Chip was born in Philadelphia, PA to the late James Reardon and the late Lillian Reardon.

He graduated from Overbrook School for the Blind in Philadelphia, class of 1965. Chip then graduated from Oberlin College in Oberlin, OH with a Bachelors degree in Music and then from Eastman School of Music in Rochester, NY with a Master's degree. He then received a Fulbright scholarship to Germany. Chip returned to Eastman School of Music to obtain his Doctorate of Music Arts.

From 1971-1980, he worked as the head of the music department for the former Northeast Bible Institute in Green Lane, PA (now known as University of Valley Forge in Phoenixville, PA). From 1980-1983, Chip worked as a music director at Faith Assembly of God in Poughkeepsie, NY. In 1984, he worked as a self-employed piano tuner and private music teacher and continued working these jobs throughout his life. In addition, Chip taught and arranged the music sets for the Philadelphia Police & Fire Pipes & Drums from 1995-2015. From 1998-2020, he was the organist for the Shepherd of the Hills Church in Sassamansville, PA.

Chip was a member of the Eastern United States Pipe Band Association where he competed and later sat as a competition judge. He was an attender of Shepherd of the Hills Church (now known as Shepherd of the Hills Calvary Chapel) in Sassamansville, PA.

Chip's greatest passion in life was music and he enjoyed playing any instruments he could get his hands on. He enjoyed watching monster and 50's sci-fi movies, listening to old radio shows, and reading books in Braille. Chip loved amusement parks especially roller coasters, the Philadelphia Phillies, and going to the beach and the ocean.

He was an independent, outgoing, meticulous, kind, friendly man who was extremely talented and had a great sense of humor.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Mark Reardon of Blooming Glen, PA.

In addition to his parents, Chip was preceded in death by his step-father, Norman Shriver.

Viewings will be held on Friday, January 13, 2023 from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm and on Saturday, January 14, 2023 from 9:00 am – 11:00 am at Blooming Glen Mennonite Church, 713 Blooming Glen Road, Blooming Glen, PA 18911.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 14, 2023 at 11:00 am at Blooming Glen Mennonite Church, 713 Blooming Glen Road; Blooming Glen, PA 18911.

Burial will take place at Blooming Glen Mennonite Church Cemetery.
