Edward K. Knechel , 88, of Harleysville, formerly of Quakertown, Pa. went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 8, 2023 at Peter Becker Community, Harleysville, PA.

He was the loving husband of Arlene F. Knechel for 17 years. Ed was born in Hilltown Twp., PA to late Leidy S. Knechel and the late Mary (Kratz) Knechel.

Ed was employed first as a mechanic for his father at Knechel's Garage, Telford, PA. He was a service manager for J. L. Freed's Cadillac for many years and then retired from George Snyders Estates, Hatfield, PA.

He was a former member of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, Kellers Church, PA and a current member of Advent Lutheran Church, Harleysville, PA.

Ed enjoyed wood working, loved cars, doing puzzles and crafts.

In addition to his wife Arlene, he is survived by his son Barry Knechel of Columbia, SC; Son-in-law; David Felton; his grandchildren, Kristy M. Felton of East Greenville, PA; and Megan Trauger & husband Christopher of Springtown, PA; and Troy E. Felton & wife Rebekah of Sellersville, PA

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Jean M. Knechel and his daughter, Cindy L. Felton.

A private graveside service will be held at Whitemarsh Memorial Park, 1169 Limekiln Pike, Ambler, PA. 19002.

Memorial services will be held at the Advent Lutheran Church, 470 Landis Road, Harleysville, PA 19438 on Thursday, January 26, 2023 at 3 PM.
