Edwin Rodriguez , 61, of Leesport, passed away on May 22, 2021 in Columbus, OH.

Edwin was born on May 20, 1960 to Inocencio Pabon Rivera and Victoria Rodriguez.

Edwin worked for years as a welder, from which he had retired.

Edwin loved spending time with family, fishing, boating and helping others in need. Edwin enjoyed living in the moment and touched everyone around him with his enthusiasm for life.

There was nothing he couldn't figure out – from rewiring a house to rebuilding an engine, if you asked, he would always deliver. He would always find a way to make it work.

Altruistic in nature, he was always giving while expecting nothing in return. He would help in any way he could, no matter the situation. He wasn't just there for you; he was there for you unconditionally. His drive, passion, and joviality were an absolute inspiration to everyone he came to know. The way he touched everyone's lives, and made them feel as though home had come to them, seems so incomprehensible, but was second nature to him. Everyone he's known, whether it's 61 years or 2 days, has lost a piece of their heart. We will all miss him dearly.

Edwin is loved by many and is survived by his loving children including Justin Regan of Leesport, PA, Gabriel Rodriguez of Shippensburg, PA, Zachary Rodriguez of Hershey, PA, Elliot Rodriguez of Maricopa, AZ, Melinda Rodriguez-Tercius of Dublin, OH, several grandchildren and his separated wife, Sandra Rodriguez. Edwin is also survived by his sisters and brothers including Juan Rivera, Alicia Rivera, Neida Rivera, Hector Rivera, Zenaida Rivera, Ruben Rivera, Angelica Downing, Crucita Berrios, and Wilfredo Fontaanez.

He was preceded in death by his father, Inocencio Pabon Rivera; mother, Victoria Rodriguez; son, David Regan; brothers Angel Rivera and Jose Rivera; and sister Maria Esther Rivera.

A viewing will be held on Saturday, June 5, 2021 at Finland Mennonite Church, 1750 Ziegler Road, Pennsburg, PA 18073 where friends may meet with the family from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, the funeral services will begin at 1:00 pm.
