Eileen H. (Moyer) Knechel , 72, of Harleysville, PA went home to be with Jesus on Monday, October 7, 2024 at her residence.

Eileen was the loving wife of Jeryl M. Knechel for 43 years. She was born in Quakertown, PA to the late Ernest Moyer and the late Verna (Hackman) Moyer.

Eileen graduated from Christopher Dock Mennonite High School in Lansdale, PA, class of 1969. She then graduated from Eastern Mennonite University, class of 1971, with an associate's degree in business administration.

Eileen worked for 2 years as a secretary for Eastern Mennonite University in Harrisonburg, VA. She then worked as a personal secretary for her father's business, Moyer's Chicks in Quakertown, PA. and later became part owners with her two brothers, Ivan and Leon. She worked alongside her husband in various business ventures in the local area for more than 25 years. She enjoyed her morning routine of cleaning the Laundromats and connecting with the customers.

Eileen was a former member of Rocky Ridge Mennonite Church in Quakertown and Towamencin Mennonite Church in Kulpsville. She was a founding member of Living Faith Fellowship where she served as a church treasurer, worked in the nursery, and various other positions. She was an attendee of Precept Bible Study in Souderton.

Eileen loved spending time with her family especially the grandchildren. She enjoyed traveling, camping, flower gardening, and hosting family and friends at her house. She was an avid reader. She loved reading and studying the Bible. She started each day with Bible discovery as her morning devotions.

She was a devoted wife, mother and grammy. She was very dedicated to her family. She was quick witted, had a great sense of humor, liked to laugh, and always looked on the bright side of life.

In addition to her husband, Jeryl, she is survived by her two sons, Andrew J. Knechel & wife, Chelsea of Telford, PA, Ernest J. Knechel & wife, Robyn of Penn Valley, PA; her daughter, Melody A. Kolb & husband, Benjamin of Hamilton, MT; her seven grandchildren – Levi, Bella, Everly, Madelyn, Hazel, Ava, & Asher; and her two brothers, Ivan H. Moyer & wife, Evelyn of Quakertown, PA, Leon H. Moyer & wife, Karen of Quakertown, PA.

A viewing will be held on Sunday, October 20, 2024 from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm at Towamencin Mennonite Church, 1980 Sumneytown Pike, Kulpsville, PA 19443, followed by a funeral service at 7:00 pm. The service will be Livestreamed.

Burial, luncheon and sharing will take place at Living Faith Fellowship Cemetery on Monday, October 21, 2024 at 10:00am.  All family and friends are welcomed to join.
