Elizabeth "Betty" Anna (Miller) Mitchell , 68, of Telford, PA; formerly of Ardsley, PA, Palm Harbor, FL & Harleysville, PA passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Thursday, September 30, 2021 at her residence.
She was the loving wife of Francis "Mick" James Mitchell II for 47 years. Betty was born in Kingston, New York to Helen (Romano) Miller of Esopus, NY and the late Daniel J. Miller.
She graduated from Kingston High School in Kingston, NY, class of 1971. Betty graduated from Montgomery County Community College as a registered nurse.
She worked as a banquet assistant for Whitemarsh Valley Country Club in Whitemarsh, PA. Betty then worked as a registered nurse for Chestnut Hill Hospital in Chestnut Hill, PA and later for Prudential Insurance Company in Willow Grove, PA. She was employed as a RN transplant coordinator for Aetna, Blue Bell, PA for 18 years, until retiring in 2018.
Betty was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who loved spending time with her family. She loved going to the Poconos and the beaches at Locust Lake Village, PA and Honeymoon Island, FL. Betty loved her daily sunsets with Mick on the causeway.
She was a gentle, kind, loving, loyal, self-less and hardworking woman who had a beautiful smile, always had kind words to say about everyone, and always put her family first.
In addition to her mother, Betty is survived by her two daughters, Kelly E. Keane & husband, John "Jeff" of Blue Bell, PA, Maegan M. Greenberg & husband, David of Harleysville, PA; her son, Francis "Mickey" J. Mitchell III & wife, Meghan of Palm Harbor, FL; her seven grandchildren – Jeffrey, Matthew, Halley, Jacob, Hannah, Holly & Madilyn; her two sisters, Michelle Decker of Frostproof, FL, Kathryn Bonelli & husband, William of Saugerties, NY; her brother, Daniel J. Miller & wife, Diana of Manassas, VA; and her brother-in-law, George Ramos of Kingston, NY.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her sister, Dorothy "DJ" Ramos; her brother, John Miller; and her brother-in-law, Matthew Decker.
There will be no services at the request of the family.
