Emma Jacqueline "Jackie" (Mood) Hedrick , 84, of Harleysville, PA; formerly of Souderton, PA passed away on Wednesday, May 24, 2023 at Peter Becker Community.

She was the loving wife of Gerald Winfield Hedrick, M.D. for 58 years. Jackie was born in Quakertown, PA to the late H. Russell Mood and the late Irene (Godshall) Mood.

She graduated from Pennridge High School, class of 1956. Jackie then graduated Allentown Hospital School of Nursing, class of 1959. She was employed as a nurse at Grand View Hospital where she worked in Obstetrics. Jackie was also employed at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center in New York for 2 years where she worked in Obstetrics and the Surgical Unit. She also assisted her physician husband as a nurse.

Jackie was a lifetime member of Trinity United Church of Christ in Telford, PA. She volunteered at Grand View Hospital and Meals on Wheels.

Jackie enjoyed nursing, traveling, and reading.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her stepdaughters, Constance Deibler & husband, Karl of Henderson, NV, and Cheryl Taketa of Bellevue, WA.

In addition to her parents, Jackie was preceded in death by her stepdaughter, Donna Brown and her sister, Joyce Lois Mood.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, June 8, 2023 at Anders-Detweiler Funeral Home & Crematory, 130 E. Broad St., Souderton, PA 18964 from 10:00 am - 11:00 am, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 am.

Burial will take place at Trinity Cemetery of Telford.
