Ernest R. Ziegler , 92, of Telford, formerly of Souderton, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 17, 2022.

He was the loving husband of Nellie (Stover) Ziegler for 65 years.

Ernie was born in Kulpsville, PA to the late Frank Ziegler and Ella Mae (Ruth) Ziegler.

He was a graduate of Lansdale High School, class of 1948. Ernie enlisted in the Air Force after graduating and served our country for 4 years as a jet mechanic. Ernie was employed as a silver solderer at the U.S. Gauge for 36 years. He was a long time attender and member of Grace Bible Church of Souderton. Ernie was a member of the North Pennsmen Barbershop group.

Ernie enjoyed gardening and landscaping, singing, making stained glass lamps, doing puzzles, and working with tools around the house. Ernie, along with his wife Nellie, welcomed and loved many foster children into their home over the years. Ernie's greatest joys were loving the Lord, his wife and his family. Ernie was known for his kind and loving heart and spent a lifetime sharing the compassion and love he had for others.

Ernie is survived by three daughters, Cyndi (Edward) Spencer of Telford, PA, Jenni (Jim) Schneider of Sellersville, PA, Mary Jo (Paul ) DeLaGarza of Grottoes, VA; Grandchildren: Jason Spencer, Jodi Carnes, Jeremy (and Jen) Spencer, Andrew (and Kristi) Schneider, Amanda (and Justin) Gross, Brandon DeLaGarza, Brittany (and Matt) Sayre, Brianna (and Spencer) Shifflett Great-grandchildren: Jordan Spencer, Jorianna Spencer, Autumn Carnes, Benjamin Carnes, Ethan Spencer, Liam Eigner and soon-to-be Colbie Schneider Siblings: Brother, Donnie (Ruth Ann) Ziegler of Telford, PA and sister, Gladys (Arthur) York of Souderton, PA. Other sons and daughters who have had a special place in their hearts and home: Barb Standley (Billy) and family, Jennifer House (Dave) and family, Perky, Debbie, Donna, Doris, David (Hai), Kevin (Bong), Jimmy, Paul, and Melody.

Ernie was preceded in death by his wife Nellie, three brothers; Paul Ziegler, Norman Ziegler, Jake Ziegler and three sisters; Florence Gehman, Ruth Shade and Anna Mae Burns.

A Celebration of Life & Love Service will be held on Sunday July 31, 2022 at: Calvary Church Heritage Hall 820 Souderton Road (Route 113), Souderton, PA 18964. Visitation 1:00 - 2:00 Celebration service 2:00

Private burial will take place at Immanuel Leidy's Church Cemetery later, at the convenience of the family.
