Esther M. Leatherman , 90, of Souderton, PA passed away on Sunday, November 15th, 2020 at Souderton Mennonite Homes.

Esther was born in Bedminster, PA to the late Joseph G. and Anna (Meyers) Leatherman.

She was a graduate from college with a nursing degree. Her employment started at Myers pie factory and then Eastern Mennonite Homes. Esther was employed as a Nurse for Souderton Mennonite Homes for 40+ years before Retiring in 1996.

Esther served in the mission at Bristol Mennonite Mission Church from 1960 to 1985. She volunteered at SMH for many years heading up and organizing the quilting guild.

Esther was a life member of Deep Run Mennonite Church East.

She enjoyed family, quilting, trips to Lancaster to buy supplies and serving others in many ways.

Esther is survived by sister, Anna Vaughn Chapel Hill, NC and close personal cousin, Grace Leatherman with whom she shared a home and nursing duties at the SMH.  She also is survived by many nieces and nephews.

Esther was preceded in death by three sisters, Mary Reinford, Elizabeth Kulp and Carolyn Leatherman.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November, 21st, 2020 at 11 AM. at the Deep Run Mennonite Church East, 350 Kellers Church Road, Perkasie, PA, where friends may call from 10:30 until 11:00am. As an expression of care for others, it is mandatory that face covering be worn.

Burial will take place at Deep Run Mennonite Cemetery East.
