Esther Rebecca (Geissinger) Miller , 100, died on May 7, 2022, at Moravian Manor in Lititz, PA. Esther grew up on a farm in Zionsville, PA. The family farm was in the little area known as Hosensack. It was common to hear and speak Pennsylvania Dutch in Esther's community. During her long life, she lived in Skippack, PA, Warminster, PA, and Robesonia, PA.

Esther was born on November 23, 1921, in Zionsville, PA, to Abraham and Katie (Stauffer) Geissinger. She was the youngest of their six children and the last sibling to leave this earth.

Esther was married to the late James A. Miller for 66 years.  James and Esther leave four children:  Linda (Gary) Mesh of Warrington, PA, Robert (Kathy) of Loma, CO, Mary Jane Assis of Brownstown, PA, and Susan (William) Krusemark of Kansas City, MO.  Esther and Jim enjoyed being grandparents to 10 grandchildren and great-grandparents to 9 great-grandchildren.

Esther had a variety of jobs that she enjoyed.  During her life she was a loving homemaker.  In addition, Esther played the piano and organ for church gatherings, assisted as a cafeteria worker in her local school district, created original hand-cut lampshades for purchase, as well as caning chairs, and a fun side-business of selling her delicious chocolate-covered pretzels.

Esther Miller was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Warminster, PA.  She enjoyed the quilting group at the church.  While a resident of Warminster, Esther also enjoyed her volunteer work with Meals on Wheels.

Esther had many hobbies.  She excelled at cooking and baking.  She loved to sing and play hymns.  Esther kept busy with gardening, sewing, reading, word games, and jigsaw puzzles.  She enjoyed watching and attending Phillies games (through the Phillies good years and the Phillies not-so-good years).  During the 2020 Phillies season, a cut-out of Esther could be found inside Citizens Bank Park, "cheering" on the team.  After the baseball season came to a close, Esther would enjoy an autumn trip with her husband, Jim, to enjoy the beauty of Cape May, NJ.

Esther was a hardworking, caring, compassionate woman who will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, July 30, 2022, at 10:00 A.M.  The location for the service will be at New Eden Fellowship, 609 Main Street, Schwenksville, PA 19473 where Esther and her family worshipped in earlier years.  Burial will take place at Eden Mennonite Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Bux-Mont Meals on Wheels, 414 South York Road, Hatboro, PA 19040.  Esther and Jim always enjoyed volunteering with this group.
