Ethel (Ragan) Donahue , 93, of Spring House, PA; formerly of Loganton, PA went home to be with the Lord on Friday, September 10, 2021, at Silver Stream Center, Spring House, PA.

She was the loving wife of the late James Donahue for 47 years. Ethel was born in Tinicum Twp, PA to the late Charles Ragan and Emma (Ball) Ragan.

Ethel was employed as a Nurse Aide for Visiting Nurses Association. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and was an avid Phillies fan.

She is survived by her son, Dennis J. Umstead & wife, Stephanie of Coopersburg, PA; her daughter, Peggi Donahue & husband, Chris Covaleski of Souderton, PA; her eight grandchildren Michelle, Shannon, J.J., Daniel, Jessica, Christopher, Ryan, and Jason; and her ten great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, Ethel was preceded in death by her infant son Thomas Michael Reimer, her son, John J. Umstead; her daughter, Kathy S. Samarco; her two sisters, Alice Lamberson & Doris Beck; and her two brothers, James & Charles "Bud" Ragan.

A visitation will be held on Friday, September 17, 2021, at Anders-Detweiler Funeral Home & Crematory, 130 E. Broad Street., Souderton, Pennsylvania 18964 from 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm, followed by a memorial service at 7:00 pm.

A private burial will take place at St. Matthew's Lutheran Church / Keller's Church Cemetery at a  later date.
