Faye (McIntyre) Bishop , 89, of Harleysville, PA went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 27, 2024 at Peter Becker Community, Harleysville, PA.

She was the loving wife of the late Clifford B. Bishop for 68 years. Faye was born in Pottstown, PA to the late James Alvin and Dorothy Evelyn (Stoudt) McIntyre.

A graduate of Spring City High School, class of 1953, Faye was employed as a secretary for Harleysville Insurance for over 30 years retiring in 1993. She won an award for streamlining the payment process to clients on claims.

Throughout her adult life time, she was a member of Calvary Church of Souderton, where she was a former Sunday school teacher for grade school children.

She and her late husband Cliff enjoyed taking annual trips to Sarasota, FL and to Ocean City, NJ where they enjoyed the board walk and salt water taffy. No matter what they were doing, you could always find Faye and Cliff together. She looked forwarded to visits by family and friends and taking rides in the country. They also both loved their poodle, Pebbles. Faye will be remembered as a loving aunt to her family, who enjoyed board games, word and jigsaw puzzles. She also will be known for her delicious bread baking.

She is survived by her two nieces, Cindy McIntyre-Learch & husband Dutch of Washington DC, Nancy Ringer & husband Craig of Salisbury, MD; her four nephews, David McIntrye & wife Desiree of Spring City, PA, Timothy McIntyre & wife Carla of Slatington, PA, Daniel McIntyre & wife Justina of Harleysville, PA, and Mark McIntyre & wife Linda of Carrabelle, FL.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, August 2, 2024 at 11:00 am at Anders-Detweiler Funeral Home & Crematory, 130 E. Broad St., Souderton, PA. 18964.

Burial will take place at Calvary Church Cemetery.
