Faye Irene
Wetzel
Oct 2, 1934 — Jul 13, 2026
Faye Irene (Strauss) Wetzel , 91, of East Greenville, Pennsylvania, formerly of Souderton, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, July 13, 2026, at her residence.
She was the loving wife of the late Clayton Filmore Wetzel for 50 years. Born in Leithsville, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Anna Naomi (Strock) Strauss.
Faye was employed as a seamstress for the former Laris Clothing Company. She was also a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and worked as a child care provider in her home for many years.
She was a member of Emmanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, where she taught Sunday school.
Faye enjoyed going to yard sales and flea markets, spending time at the beach, sewing pillows by hand, working crossword puzzles, and enjoying a good glass of brandy. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a kind, generous, and honest woman with a wonderful sense of humor who loved all children.
She is survived by her three children: Kenneth J. Wetzel and his wife, Gina, of Shamokin, PA; Laura J. Johnson and her husband, Harry, of East Greenville, PA; and Joan M. Boyd of Souderton, PA. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Noelle and her fiancé, Michael, Jordan, and Matthew; and two great-grandchildren, Chase and Faye, who were the loves of her life.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her eight sisters, Grace Ruch, Ruth Moyer, Dorothy Daneker, Florence Arena, Eunice Hanselman, Verna Fluck, Marjorie Mapp, and Betty Shannon; and her two brothers, Kenneth Strauss and Robert Strauss.
