Starts at 11:00 am (Eastern time)
Fern M. Zepp passed away on October 26th, 2026, at St. Luke’s Hospice House. She was 81.
She was the loving wife of Allen S. Zepp.
Born November 25, 1944, on the William Henry Nace and Hannah Martha Nace farm in Marlborough Township, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Arlene Mary Nace Conway, an unwed mother who refused to give Fern up for adoption. Fern grew up surrounded by aunts, uncles and cousins living on properties adjoining the farm and enjoyed exploring the woods, fields and streams with her cousins.
She was a 1962 graduate of Upper Perkiomen High School and began her career in March, 1963 at Union National Bank and Trust Company of Souderton, now Univest Corporation of Pennsylvania in the Trust Department. In addition to on-the-job training, she completed specialized courses in Estates and Trusts through the Philadelphia Chapter of the American Institute of Banking and Bucknell University, Lewisburg, PA. She enjoyed working with beneficiaries and her trust and guardianship clients until her retirement as Vice President and Senior Trust Officer on December 31, 2006.
Fern was a member of The Presbyterian Church of Deep Run, Perkasie, PA, where she served in several capacities and sang in the choir for many years. She also participated in numerous mission trips through Discovery Service Projects in Mexico and several Central American countries.
Fern and Allen, both widowers with young children, married and blended their family on September 16, 1978; she and her family enjoyed traveling throughout the United States and spent much of their summer vacations at the Zepp lakeside camp in Island Falls, Maine. Allen and Fern also enjoyed international travel, visiting numerous countries over the years. After retirement, they spent winters at their second home in Green Valley, Arizona. She especially enjoyed attending and cheering on her grandchildren’s baseball, soccer and lacrosse games. She also loved to golf, and although she never got good at it, she appreciated the exercise, the beauty of the outdoors, and developing friendships.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her aunt, Edith Martha Miller of Red Hill, PA, sister, Joan D. Gosnell of Gulfport, MS, brother, William H. Conway, Jr. of Bedminster, PA, children Lee Eric Bieler and his wife, Melissa of Harleysville, PA, Kevin Allen Zepp and his wife, Kelly of Denver, CO, and Kristie Zepp Locke and her husband, Robert of Midlothian, VA. She is also survived by her seven grandchildren—Stephanie Bieler, Amanda DeClerico, Lindsay Locke, Brandon Bieler, Landon Locke, Justin Bieler, and Micah Zepp—and two great-grandchildren, Milo and Colby DeClerico.
A memorial service will be held on November 21, 2026, at 11:00 am at The Presbyterian Church of Deep Run, 16 Irish Meetinghouse Road (Route 113 and Elephant Road), Perkasie, PA 18944.
